Expert Services
Our expert services cover three key areas: expert letters for animal experiments, knowledge transfer through the joint development of computational pipelines and methods and specialized consultation to support the grant proposal writing process.

Our Services
Expert letters
Expert letters
Statistical expertise is of great importance in the context of animal experiments. Through professional sample size calculation, the number of animals used in an experiment is limited to the required minimum, ensuring that no more animals than necessary are involved. At the same time, this guarantees that experiments produce statistically relevant results, thereby avoiding the use of animals in studies that would not yield meaningful outcomes. Please contact us to arrange an initial meeting to discuss the details.
User fees: Individual, depending on the scope of the expert letter.
Booking: Please submit your request via iLabs to book the initial (free of charge) consultation session (service name: Expert letters).
Knowledge Transfer Projects
Knowledge Transfer Projects
Our mission is to provide state-of‑the‑art, transferable, reusable, and reproducible bioinformatics and statistical analysis pipelines for a variety of applications (e.g., Next Generation Sequencing). To achieve this, we collaborate with researchers who develop new computational pipelines and methods. Researchers benefit from the core facility’s knowledge base and best practices and once developed, these workflows are offered by the core facility as a service to its user community.
User fees: The initial meeting (project proposal setup) is free of charge. An offer will then be created based on the scope of the project.
Booking: Please submit your request via iLabs (service name: Knowledge Transfer Projects).
Grant partnerships
Grant partnerships
We support scientists working on grant applications by providing consulting in experimental design, data collection and management, method selection and scientific writing. Depending on the grant type, the core facility may also act as a partner carrying out specific tasks such as data analysis, method development, data processing, or data deposition to archives.
User fees: Vary depending on the type of assistance.
Booking: Please submit your request via iLabs (service name: Grant partnerships).
