Julia Hess is a biologist working in translational oncology and acting as a link between the research unit and clinical partners.

She leads the competence field “Experimental Translational Oncology” in the research unit Translational Metabolic Oncology (TMO) with a focus on generating clinical cohorts of cancer patients and omics data at multiple levels to identify prognostic stratification markers and develop targets for novel therapeutic approaches in precision oncology.

Julia Hess is currently completing her habilitation at the Medical Faculty of the LMU.
