About our Research

Identification of metabolic characteristics in clinical samples and model systems, related to clinical therapy response by integration of multi-level (high-dimensional) data.

The Metabolic Therapy Response group describes metabolic processes and their relationship with clinical therapy outcome with the overarching aim to improve tumor therapy by the modulation of tumor metabolic properties.

· We relate multi-level high-dimensional (omics-) data, clinical data, and specific molecular-biological endpoints via bioinformatic/computational approaches.

· We characterize and stratify clinical tumor cohorts based on metabolic characteristics inferred from transcriptional and metabolite-level data.

· We identify key-processes of tumor-metabolism and targets for their modulation

· We aim to modulate specific metabolic processes in model systems and evaluate the effect on therapy outcome

· We collaborate with multiple University hospitals and research institutes, highly valuing and promoting the interdisciplinary efforts required in today´s and future translational oncological research
