Constanza Venegas has joined the GEBIKI-2 project since March 2025 as PhD student, which aims to analyze the impact of pollution on biodiversity in urban environments by integrating genomic and AI-based technologies. Using DNA and mRNA methods, microbial activity in urban parks will be studied, and the effects of anthropogenic stressors on biodiversity will be evaluated. By combining genomic data with AI-driven remote sensing, land use patterns will be classified, and human impact on local biodiversity will be assessed.
