Alpine and pre-alpine soils are an important carbon sink but are very vulnerable to climate change at the same time. Therefore, we have to improve knowledge about the effects of current and future climate and management conditions on important ecosystem functions of alpine and pre-alpine grassland soils, which is the aim of SUSALPS.
