Course description

Requirements:

Programming skills with R, e.g. course Introduction to R and additional practice.

Your profit:

The participants will be taught how to build dynamic documents consisting of code, outputs (tables and figures) and interpretation. Therefore, the R extension RMarkdown will be used. This tool enables to produce fully reproducible manuscripts. All topics are accompanied with hand-on exercises.

Topics:

This introductory course on RMarkdown covers:

  • Getting familiar with the syntax of RMarkdown
  • Include code in the manuscript
  • Format tables and figures with RMarkdown
  • Structure the document
  • Remark: This course is equivalent to the of the former day 3 of the course Advanced Graphics with R.

Methods:
The course consists of lessons how to work with RMarkdown and of hands-on examples with best-practice solutions.
