Vermicompost
as a basis for the sustainable use of the soil microbiome in agricultural soils
Vermicomposting is a biological process in which earthworms are used to decompose organic matter and produce microbially inoculated compost. The efficiency and ecological impact of this process will be investigated on lab-, pot- and field scale to provide science-driven recommendations for the implementation of vermicomposting for the improvement of circular economics. The project is supported by the Bioland Stiftung und Horsch.
