9th EDITION: October 16th, 2025
On Thursday, October 16th 2025, Dr. Maria Elena Torres-Padilla (Director, IES) and Dr. Robert Schneider (Director, IFE) invite fellow researchers from the Munich Epigenetics Community to the 9th Munich Epigenetics Spotlight Meeting, hosted by the Stem Cell Center at Helmholtz Munich.
This meeting is a great opportunity to discuss recent exciting findings in chromatin biology, histone and DNA/RNA modifications, and mechanisms of different epigenetic phenomena, from and with, the local Epigenetics Community.
Registrations are always FREE but mandatory to attend the event for logistics purposes.

Group Leader at the Chromatin and Cell Biology Lab, Institute of Human Genetics, CNRS and University of Montpellier (France).
Dr. Marc Bühler
Group Leader at the Epigenetic Gene Regulation Lab, Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research, Basel (Switzerland).
TALKS
Additional to the Keynote speakers, senior PhD students and Postdocs from the local Epigenetics Community are invited to present their work in front of the expert audience and apply for one of the four presentation slots (15min presentation +10min Q&A).
VENUE
Stem Cell Center, hosted by the Institute of Epigenetics and Stem Cells (IES) at Helmholtz Zentrum Munich (Marchioninistraße 25, 81377, Munich (Germany)).
To get there by public transport, stop at Großhadern U-bahn station (U6 line) and walk to the IES, or use the 166 Bus.

2024 Spotlight Meeting

Our Keynote speakers were: Dr. Mounia Lagha (Institut de Génétique Moléculaire de Montpellier, Montpellier, France) and Dr. Frédéric Berger (Gregor Mendel Institute of Molecular Plant Biology, Austrian Academy of Sciences, Vienna, Austria).
