Munich Epigenetic Spotlight 2021

On Thursday, October 28th 2021, Maria Elena Torres-Padilla (Director, IES) and Robert Schneider (Director, IFE) invite fellow researchers to the 5th Munich Epigenetic Spotlight Meeting at the Helmholtz Zentrum München. The meeting is a great opportunity to meet the Munich Epigenetic Community and to discuss recent exciting findings in chromatin biology, histone and DNA/RNA modifications and mechanisms of different epigenetic phenomena. Virtual "Meet-the-Speaker" sessions will be hosted.

This year's keynote speakers are Wendy Bickmore from the MRC Human Genetics Unit at the University of Edinburgh and Andrew Xiao from the Department of Genetics at the Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven.

Presentation Contest

Next to the keynote speakers, senior PhD students and Postdocs are cordially invited to present their work in front of the expert audience. All abstracts will be reviewed by the meeting organizers, and some will be selected to give a short presentation. Selected presentations will participate in the contest for the presentation prizes  (1st: 300€; 2nd: 200€) kindly provided by Epigenomes. The presentations will be reviewed by our keynote speakers and the presentation prizes will be awarded after the meeting.

Note: Presentation slots are reserved for PhD students and Postdocs from the Munich Epigenetics Community.
