Fuchs Group
Biostatistics
Our team of mathematicians and statisticians pursues the mission of distribution-based modeling and inference to gain knowledge from uncertainty. We specialise in biological and medical applications to help discovering causes and cures of diseases.
We offer expert support in statistical data analysis and exploration. Additionally, we are closely affiliated with the Data Science group at the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics at Bielefeld University. Please visit the Data Science Group's web page for information about our activities in Bielefeld.

About our Research
Our research interests center around stochastic modelling and statistical estimation, in particular stochastic differential equations; uncertainty quantification, in particular the propagation of uncertainty through the various levels of modelling, analysis and interpretation; and Bayesian inference, both parameteric and nonparametric. Projects include the development and implementation of methods in the field of environmental health risk and the analysis of genomic, transcriptomic, and phenomic data.
