Fr1da Insulin Intervention Study
In the Fr1da insulin intervention study, taking insulin powder is designed to delay or, at best, prevent progression from early stage to clinical type 1 diabetes with all its symptoms.
The insulin powder is taken once daily with a meal for 12 months. The insulin is not used to lower blood sugar, but is intended to positively influence the immune system - similar to desensitization in allergy treatments.
Our goal is to delay or prevent the progression of the autoimmune disease type 1 diabetes through this treatment.
All 220 participants have been included in the study - recruitment is complete.
