For the discovery of a whole series of new drugs, the scientific director and CEO of Helmholtz Munich, Matthias H. Tschöp, received the EASD-Lilly Centennial Anniversary Prize 2022.
Anette-Gabriele Ziegler, Director of the Helmholtz Munich Institute for Diabetes Research (IDF) was honored with the EASD-Novo Nordisk Foundation Diabetes Prize for Excellence 2022.
Alexander Jais, Junior Research Group Leader ‘Diet-Induced Metabolic Alterations’ at the Helmholtz Institute for Metabolic, Obesity and Vascular Research (HI-MAG) in Leipzig, also received a highly endowed award: the Future Leader Award of the European Foundation for the Study of Diabetes (EFSD)/Novo Nordisk Foundation.
