Clinical Proteomics and Ring Trials

As part of the CLINSPECT-M consortium, which aims at translating MS-based assays into the clinic in the area of neuro diseases, and as leader of the corresponding workpackage 5 – “Quality Assurance and Standardization” (https://clinspect-m.mscoresys.de/research/standardization-and-quality-assurance) – we organize round robin studies to set the foundation for the development of standardized start-to-finish and fit-for-purpose workflows for clinical specimen. An essential step in this pursuit is to capture best practices for MS-based proteomic measurements in order to highlight common ground in a diverse preparation and LC-MS set-up proteomic landscape, to address differences and potential confounding factors as well as to identify areas for improvement with a direct practical benefit.
