CF-PTA combines two technology platforms: Pathology and Microscopy each with its own service portfolio. Our high-quality, state-of-the-art technical and professional services will be individualized to users specific project needs. Pathology services are provided by core facility personnel only. However, some of our microscopes are open for independent use by trained customers.

Together with CF-GEN, we offer seamless support for spatial transcriptomics projects, from tissue preparation to data analysis.

The 10X Genomics Xenium Analyzer swiftly generates data immediately after the run. For both FFPE or fresh frozen (FF) tissues samples, the processing preserves structural integrity, facilitating additional staining methods ( e.g. H&E, IF) for Visium assay on the same sample.

The 10X Genomics CytAssist/Visium enables spatial transcriptomics by transferring mRNA from FFPE or FF tissue on standard histology slides to barcoded Visium slides, ensuring compatibility with pathology workflows.

Since 2017 I am leading the CF-PTA where we are experts in digital pathology and qualitative and quantitative image analysis. We have successfully established 3D imaging of whole transparent organs and support spatial transcriptomics approaches together with CF Genomics.
