Spectral and Imaging Flow Cytometry
Our newest addition to CF-FLOW is the BD FACSDiscover™ A8 cell analyzer. Loaded with BDSpectralFX™ and BDCellView™ technology this cutting edge analyzer combines spectral and imaging capabilities on the same platform. Automated workflow options, high-end full-spectrum profiling and the capability to study morphology and subcellular localization on the same sample will allow unprecedented deep phenotyping and speed up screening strategies.
The platform comes with 5 lasers, 78 fluorescence detectors and 8 scatter and imaging detectors running in imaging or high-speed mode. The integrated autoloader with sample mixing and temperature control can hold various tube and plate types allowing fully automated walk away operation.
Access to self-service instrument of CF-FLOW is possible for trained and approved users only while operator run services can be booked by all registered researchers.
New users to CF-FLOW have to sign up via iLab and book relevant training. Basic flow cytometry training is mandatory for all independent use of our facility. Prior to starting a new project users can book a free consultation with CF-FLOW to obtain guidance on best practice for their experiments.
CF-FLOW follows the general Terms of use for Helmholtz Munich Core facilities, additional rules for the use of the flow core will be discussed prior to first use of our services. Please note that formalities are required in advance for working with certain samples such as primary human material or genetically modified organisms (GMO).
