- Get to know different areas of animal husbandry – mainly working with small rodents and fish
- Complete internships with our partner institutions to gain experience with other animal species
- Learn how to handle animals respectfully and responsibly
- Care for, nurse, and breed animals (e.g. calculate and prepare feeding rations)
- Monitor and document the health and behavior of animals
- Assist in treatments and minor procedures together with veterinarians and study leaders
- Maintain hygiene and organization within the animal facilities
- Take part in internal training session (e.g. IT courses, teamwork workshops)
- I have a qualified secondary school leaving certificate or intermediate school leaving certificate
- I have good grades in science subjects
