Congratulations to Ms. Anja Michl and Dr. Rizqah Kamies, who were jointly awarded a poster prize for their shared work at the DZL Annual Meeting 2026, held in Wiesbaden, Germany in June 2026.
The DZL (German Center for Lung Research) Annual Meeting is a central scientific forum within the German lung research community, bringing together researchers across partner institutions to present and discuss the latest advances in respiratory research. The meeting features scientific sessions, collaborative discussions, and large poster sessions that highlight ongoing work across disease areas and methodological platforms.
This poster award was received for a multimodal analysis of human lung aging, profiling region-specific transcriptomic and proteomic changes across 84 healthy donor lungs spanning an age range from 16 to 83 years. The study identified distinct molecular aging signatures across anatomical regions, providing a comprehensive molecular map of human lung aging.
Ms. Michl (PhD researcher) and Dr. Kamies (postdoctoral researcher) are both members of PRM. Their joint recognition at the DZL Annual Meeting highlights the strength of collaborative research within the group and its contribution to the broader DZL network.
We warmly congratulate both awardees on this achievement.
