Research Area
Michelle is a PhD student at COMI since June 2025, studying insects as vectors of pathogens and antibiotic resistance in urban ecosystems. Her work investigates the influence of different urban environmental factors on the host-microbe interaction using ants as a model system, as well as the soil microbiome. Her project is part of the TUM Research Training Group - Urban Green Infrastructure, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
