Epigenetics Internal Retreat 2026

16 & 17 November 2026

Epigenetics at Helmholtz Munich brings together nearly 30 research groups across multiple institutes, departments, and campuses.

Each year, we host a two-day retreat that unites MSc students, PhD students, postdocs, and PIs to strengthen collaboration across the community. The retreat provides a dedicated space to share research ideas, results, technologies, and new discoveries, while fostering scientific exchange, career conversations, and a connected, research-driven culture.

Objectives 

The primary goals of this retreat are to: 

• Share and discuss recent advances, methods, and findings in epigenetics research
• Build connections among epigenetics groups across Helmholtz
• Foster collaboration between groups and institutes
• Gain constructive feedback from peers in a focused, supportive environment
• Strengthen professional networks

What to expect  

• Long Talks (25 min with Q&A included)
• Short Talks (10 min with Q&A included)
• Flash Talks (2.5 min). 
• Poster Session
• Social activities
