Academic Career and Research Areas
Katharina holds the position of medical lead for the life-course informed, digitally supported, person-centred KORA Digital-Fit intervention study. KORA Digital-Fit aims to prevent multimorbidity in ageing and is part of the European research and innovation project Stay Healthy Through Ageing (STAGE). During her medical training at LMU Klinikum, Präventive Sportmedizin und Sportkardiologie at TUM, and the Deutsches Herzzentrum München, Katharina specialized in preventive cardiology and lipidology. She is an EECC- and board-certified cardiologist and furthermore board-certified in internal medicine. Her scientific research focuses on understanding modifiable determinants of healthspan, as well as their interactions with genes.
