Dr. Ivy Curren studied geophysics at the University of Miami in Florida. Following her PhD in the Department of Earth, Planetary, and Space Sciences at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) where she worked on the NASA Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Diviner Instrument team, she was awarded the Zuckerman Postdoctoral Scholar Fellowship to perform research at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel.
In 2021, she joined the Chair of Biological Imaging at the Technical University of Munich and the Institute of Biological and Medical Imaging at Helmholtz Munich, where she is the Deputy Director of Research and Leader of the Imaging to Sensing research group. Dr. Curren also oversees the Horizon 2020 FET Proactive Digital Twins Cluster project, OPTOMICS.
